In the MGS Computing Department lots of our S1 and S2 Students have been working hard to improve their typing skills. We believe that its really important that young people are able to type well as so many employers now require good ICT skills. Although surfing the net and playing on-lines games are really good fun, the ability to type remains a core and important ICT skill. Luckily our computing department try to make this activity as fun as possible. Today they were using a ‘typing dancemat’ to help with the lesson. The great thing about the typing dancemat is that students (and teachers!) can practice their ICT skills at home accessing the dancemat via the BBC website.
