Plans June 17, 2008

I was highly impressed with the ways in which different schools adotped the concept of Games Based Learning, how they involved the pupils, and with the learning outputs.

Film of Wallyford pupils during GH08 class work June 17, 2008
Posted by Emma Griffiths in : Wallyford Primary , add a commentThis film shows pupils at Wallyford making animations, using I Can Animate. As part of their Guitar Hero term, they developed characters that might have been in a rock band, in art they drew and made collage or coloured clothes for them, in drama they created stories and acted them out, thinking about settings and events, and finally, after working in groups to make storyboards, they made their animations. Watch out fot the precariously placed camera!
The last part of the film shows the children working with Bridge Centre staff, using Garage Band to create their own individual pieces of music.
It was a huge privilege to work with the Wallyford pupils and staff, they were so full of enthusiasmn, talent, and promise.
Guitar Hero Showcase June 13, 2008

In these routines, each band performed a dance:
- they had choreographed,
- to a track they had created using Garageband
- wearing the T-shirts they had designed, and which they were selling on the night.
Contact Stacey Betteridge at Wallyford Primary to get your T-shirt before they sell out!
