Why I Now Enjoy Writing So Much

I know in the first ever comment I wrote I was not enjoying English as Mr Ledingham has pointed out. I have now taken this out, as my opinion of English has changed. This has changed for three reasons: 1. This blog has made me enjoy writing much more. 2. Since we have now stared reading better books that I enjoy and like writing reviews. 3. I have now been hooked to the author Darren Shan and can not stop reading his books. I’m also looking into reading a couple of Stephen King’s books although my Mum is very much against this and is now asking if people who have read the books which is the least scarry. I also hope there is other books in English which I will be able to read.

Lord Loss Book Review

This book was very mysterious in the way it was started. Ecspecially with three deaths right at the very begining. From then on I thought it got a little boring untill the end with the big battle. The ending was ok but it was a little obvious. Overall it was quite a twisted book and a good start to the Demonata series.

Demon Thief Book Review

I thought this was much better than the first book especially since there was a lot more blood and death. It starts off very confusing because it has nothing to do with the first book (or so you think). It gradually gets more easy to understand and you realise the link between the two books. The bad thing was it was far to easy to figure out the ending, as I put all the clues together from the two books and had guessed what was going to happen by halfway through it as it’s soooooooooooo obvious. It had an alright ending but left you clueless about what was going to happen to Kernel and the third book has nothing to do with him. Overall good for blood and deaths, bad for plot.

Slawter Book Review

Slawter was a much better book for action than the other two books but lacked for turning points. It starts off as the most boaring book I’ve ever read but gradually gets much better. Yet again I guessed what would happen in the town (Slawter) because it was so predictable. Overall a better book than Lord Loss and Demon Thief but hopefully Bec is better.

The Saga of Darren Shan Review

I have recently read the Saga of Darren Shan. It was a great seires of books, with a brilliant storyline. It starts off fairly simple but turns out to be the best seires of books I’ve ever read (except the Alex Rider Series) It was hard to believe the answer to the saga was in the title of the 12th book (Sons of Destiny) or (sons of Des-Tiny). It’s strange how all things in the book happen for a reason and there was no way for Darren to change it (or so you think). At the end you do slightly think it was all real as the author says at the very begining of the saga. Overall Rating 10/10.

Christmas!

This year I had a great Christmas as I got loads of great things and had loads of fun. It started when I woke at five in the morning (a normal time to wake up for me) and went downstairs to see what I got. I was not allowed to open anything untill my Mum, Dad and sister were awake so I had to wait 2 hours untill they finally got up. My sister and I then opened all of our gifts. I got a new bike, 2 pairs of trainers and a couple of PS2 games. I also got £70. My mum and i then went to walk my 2 dogs up at Newhails Woods. Next I went to my Granny and Grandad’s house were I had Christmas Dinner, I also played with my twin cousins who are 4 .We then went home and watched T.V for a while. Then I went to sleep and Christmas Finally came to an end.
