Ciao to our Italian visitors
It was a jam packed fun filled Thursday for our cluster and our twinned Italian schools. The day started with a two hour session with the ranger observing our great coastline and what is being done to conserve it and the wildlife surrounding it. This was then followed with a visit to the birthplace of John Muir with an opportunity to explore his birthplace. on our return to Innerwick Outdoor Education Centre we were joined by children and staff from the Prestonpans cluster schools for a delicious fish and chip tea. It was then time to burn off some energy in the garden by learning an Italian game of ‘tig’ and a game of ‘ladders’ before heading to the Cove where we worked in mixed teams as artists, commissioned to create a masterpiece using found materials on the beach. It was wonderful to see that language was not a barrier for our Scotttish and Italian children. Well done everyone and a big thank you to all who were involved.
