Volcanoes and Earthquakes September 23, 2008

Well done to everyone for completing this first piece of Personal Research! Your teachers are very much looking forward to reading all your work and learning from you as they do so.
By now you should have had an opportunity to look at a selection of other people’s work, and perhaps even complete a Peer Assessment.
Your homework this week is to write a comment stating what you learned from being given the chance to see Personal Research completed by others in your class: in what way does it help you to see others’ projects? How will this affect how you do your next piece of Personal Research? How did you feel about other people being allowed to look closely at your own work?
Remember to give quality comments, written in full (well-punctuated) sentences!

As part of Health Week, the P7s visited Edinburgh’s Risk Factory where they worked through several safety scenarios. As well as being a lot of fun, everyone learned valuable lessons about how to stay safe both in and out of the home.
Your homework task is to record the THREE most important safety lessons you learned from your visit. Remember to give your first name and class. Make sure your writing is appropriate and of a high standard!

Many thanks to Holly, Lucy and Isla (P6A). The girls decided that they would like to raise some additional money to support the school in Rwanda, recently visited by PC Walker. The girls produced their own homebaking, sold their delicacies around the town and managed to raise £150. Congratulations and many thanks as your money will really be appreciated.
