P7s present ‘Rivers of the World’ June 4, 2008
Posted by sallan in : Uncategorized , 7commentsAll the P7s have been working hard in small groups over the last week to prepare presentations on some interesting World Rivers. Each class had a different river to research, P7A had the Danube, P7B had the Nile, P7C had the Mississippi and P7D had the Angara. Each class chose the best 4 groups from their class to go to the other classes today and tell everyone about each river. Everyone, including the teachers, really enjoyed all the presentations and we all learned lots of new things. We all agreed that it was a great way to learn and share information.

Posted by Law Upper in : P7, visits , 2commentsOn Monday 28th, PC Walker came to visit us in our P7 classes. He helped raise our awareness about drugs and their effects on our lives. We learned that many substances are drugs including prescription medicines, alcohol, tobacco and caffeine (in your tea, coffee and cola!). PC Walker also informed us about illegal substances and about whether drugs are depressants, stimulants or hallucinogenics. We will be following up on this work in class over the next few weeks ahead of our visit to Choices for Life in Edinburgh on Wed. May 21st.
