Our Special Guest October 28, 2008
Posted by Law Upper in : Uncategorized , add a commentLaw Primary was lucky enough to welcome a special visitor to our school - the Calcutta Cup!! It is a trophy which is awarded to the winners of the annual match between England and Scotland during the rugby union Six Nations tournament. Before the cup arrived P7 did their homework and found out some fascinating facts about the cup which we shared with other pupils in the school. Unfortunately we couldn’t handle the cup, as it is extremely valuable, but at least some of us could pretend! Here are some pictures as a wee momento.

P7C used our recent topic, `Volcanoes & The Structure of the Earth’, as the inspiration for our own podcasts. We worked in pairs to create a radio interview between a news reporter and a survivor of a volcanic eruption. Here are the results. Hope you enjoy them, Miss Brodie

Posted by Law Upper in : Uncategorized , add a commentWe did our poem because it is national poetry day on Wednesday the 9th of October and the whole class took part. We went in pairs and made one or two poems and then we joined them together and made one big poem about North Berwick. Let us know what you think.

Bod, my fat cat October 8, 2008
Posted by Law Upper in : Uncategorized , 4commentsThis is a poem that we really enjoyed reading. It is for national peotry day.
My cat’s name is Bod,
He’s really very fat.
His stomach’s on the floor,
And he can’t get through his flap.
He eats and eats and eats,
He just never seems to stop.
And when we fill his bowl
Not one morsel does he drop!
His fur is very black
With white bits on his face.
But he spends most the time
Curled up in his favourite place
He never runs around,
Or sneak or pounce or jump.
My big fat cat called Bod
Really is a lazy lump!

Playground Reformation! October 8, 2008
Posted by Law Upper in : Uncategorized , 1 comment so farAs most of the pupils have seen, (at parents evenings) throughout the school there are many posters showing how we are going to raise money for a lot of improvement in our playgrounds!
All of the pupil councilors will help out and we need ideas on how to raise the money.
What are your thoughts? Please tell us by putting a comment on the blog!
Thank you, I hope you have great ideas!
