P7s present ‘Rivers of the World’ June 4, 2008
Posted by sallan in : Uncategorized , trackbackAll the P7s have been working hard in small groups over the last week to prepare presentations on some interesting World Rivers. Each class had a different river to research, P7A had the Danube, P7B had the Nile, P7C had the Mississippi and P7D had the Angara. Each class chose the best 4 groups from their class to go to the other classes today and tell everyone about each river. Everyone, including the teachers, really enjoyed all the presentations and we all learned lots of new things. We all agreed that it was a great way to learn and share information.

Neils Travel Shop came first in the votes so we were able to chose where we got to go. We chose to go to 7b’s classroom. I think it went really well and all the success criteria was done by all the groups. I learned a lot more about the Angara, Nile and the Mississippi.
All the groups did really well!
In 7a Neil`s Travel Shop received the most votes and won.All the groups tried very well.I found all the groups very informative and i learnt a lot more about the Nile,Angara and Mississippi. My group was called J.I.M.A (Julia.M,Iona,Maurice,Annie.)Even though we did not get through we still enjoyed it.
I was in Neil’s travel shop, and we got the most votes! we decided to go to mrs Lima’s class to do our drama on the river Danube. It was really fun doing our one and listening to the other classes’ presentations. I learnt lots about all the rivers: the Nile, the Danube, the Angara and the Mississippi.
For the river presentation I was doing the Danube our group was called the legendary cruise we came second. We went to Mrs Gilkison and did our presentation I fond out a lot of info about the other rivers. It was really fun.
My group was called Empty Lighthouses and the river we were doing was the Danube. We decided to stay in our own class.I thought all the other groups were really good and I learnt lots about the Nile, the Angara and the Mississippi.I enjoyed doing the presentations and I think it was a good way to learn about a river.
All of the river presentations were very good, now i know everything i wanted to know about the Angara, the Nile and the Mississippi and of course the river 7a were doing the Danube. Presentations were a good way of learning about the rivers.
I was in a group with Julia Mc, Annie and Maurice, we were called JIMA River Danube Cruise lines. I thought Neils travel shop was the best and iam glad they one in the class vote to see which teams would do it again in a different class. We came fifth so did not go anywere but i didn’t mind because the best groups ( I think! ) won and they all had loads of fun, which is the main bit!!
Well done to all the groups, even if they did not get through!
We performed our presentation on the River Danube in Mrs. Lima’s class, We were quite proud when we got the most votes in our class and then we improved it even more for the second round and it all went really well!
