P7 Rivers Personal Research May 19, 2008

Everyone has chosen something they would like to find out more about and we are working on our own or with some friends in class and at home. Its good to get the choice of what to research as well as working in groups. In our comments we will tell you all about it!

I am doing my personal project with Elizabeth and we are doing river transport past and present. In this project we will be finding out about river transport for economic purposes, military and enjoyment. The outcome of our project will be two posters which we will talk the class through. To make sure we finish on time in class time we will work on our posters and at home we will find information and work on our talk.
I am working with Finlay Pratt and Hamish Law and me! We are doing river sports. We are doing stuff like fishing, canoeing, water skiing and most sports you can do on water. The outcome will be a drama and slideshow presentation. In class I am doing the drama and at home I am doing the slideshow.
I hope it works out!

I am working with Henry and Adam. We are doing record breaking rivers and our outcome will be a powerpoint. When we get time in school on a Wednesday we bring in our information and discuss what we are going to put on our powerpoint. At home we go to Henry’s and take our information with us and highlight all the keypoints. Here are two of the things we are putting on it Top ten longest rivers and deepest rivers.

Pictures. In class I will stick the information and pictures on to

For my project I am working with Gary. We are going to be doing a poster about famous rivers the Amazon, Mississippi, Clyde and the Themes. Then we will ask the class some questions about the poster. Most of our poster work will be done in school but get the information from home and we will also think up of some things to ask the class.
Me and Peter are doing the homework together. We chose to do water sports. We are making models at home and getting information on the models we are making in school. I’m enjoying making the models and I like doing it with my friends.
For the reasearch I am working with Finn and we are doing a poster about Famous rivers and the four we chose was the Amazon, Thames, River Clyde and the Mississippi River.
To feed back we are going to read the information on the poster and ask if they learned anything new on the four rivers.
We got our information and pictures from our houses, Finn got the info for the Amazon and the River Thames and I got the Mississippi and the River Clyde and we are doing the poster in the class.
In my group I am working with Jack hall and Kieran. We are doing a poster and drama and some pictures.
We are telling the class about river life and there habitat. We are doing the drama at home and the pictures. We have finished doing the poster at school and we are still planning our drama.
For my project I am working with Kieran and Andrew.We are doing a drama and a poster. Our project is about river life-animals that live in the river. We have lots of different types of pictures of fish. I am looking forwerd until showing it to the class. At home i am doing a drama and at school i am doing a poster!
In my group was Andrew, Me, Jack. We are doing River life. Plus we are going to present to you a poster and a great drama. In class I am doing the poster. At home I am doing the drama with my group and getting info on trees and plants.
I’m with Dennis for the rivers project. We are doing a leaflet and a talk .We are writing about plants and creature’s. At school we’ll write fact’s and bit’s of info and we practice the talk at home and add more to the leaflet and mabye a bit of class involvement .
For the river project I am working with Padraig.
We will be doing creatures and plants that live in the river. We will have all are information in a leaflet we have made and we will read out the information we have.
When we are in school we will put all our information into the leaflet and when we are at home we will both be gathering info for the leaflet of books or the internet.
Me and Cairan M are doing a project and we are doing water sports like canoeing, kayaking, and sailing!!! Also we might be bringing in Cairan M’s dad’s surf board in!!!! We both do some work at each others house and we also do some work at school!! For our presontation we are going ton make a poster and a model boat!!!

At home I am going to find good information and pictures.
I am working on my own on my personal research on rivers sports. I am doing a poster and I am doing it on Wednesday and at home. When am at school I plan what I have to do when am at home I put picture and information on my poster. River sports are about sport in the river like kayaking and all the other sport in the river.
For the rivers project I am working with Annie, Ellen and Catriona. We are doing a powerpoint that tells you about Salmon, Otters, Beavers and Kingfishers. When we come to the end of the presentation we will read out 2 questions each about the animals we described. We got all our information off the internet at our houses.
we’ve had a laugh at our houses at weekends when we meet up to do it, so this project has been fun so Far!!!
For my rivers project I am working with Joanna,the river that we are doing is the Grand Canyon and we are doing a information poster. We are getting most of our information at books in school, internet and some odd leaflets. So far we have written some information and stuck some pictures down but we still have alot of work to do!!!!!
I am working with Fergus for the rivers project.We have chosen to do two posters and a news article on river transport past,presant and future.We are using the time on Wednesday to gather our information and start the posters and we find out information and do planning at home.We use the internet and books to find our information.
WE still have alot to do!

I am working with joe and ben for my personal research. we are doing rapids and are making a poster. We have been getting our information from and the internet. Hopefully we will get some more done tomorrow.

For the rivers research I am working on my own.I am writing a guide on wildlife and plants that you can see in and around rivers in Great Britain.Most of the information comes from books and the internet.The pictures will be hand drawn.However i still have quite a bit to do.
I’m working with Cammy and Joe and we are doing a poster on rapids.We are looking on the Internet and reading books to get brilliant information and cool pictures of rapids.
I am working with Imogen, Holly and Chloe and we are doing activities on the river. In our presentation we will be having a few drama’s, models and we will be making a booklet ! We will be doing most of the work in school but some of it will have to be done in school.
I am looking forward to the presentaion and hope everyone else likes it too !!
I am working with Eilidh, Chloe and holly and our subject is activicties on the river. For our presentation we are doing all sorts of things like making a model of a kayak, a few drama’s and we are also working on a booklet fool of information!

Chris and I are doing our research on kayaking as it is something we enjoy. We are going to be presenting it in a powerpoint presentation. Thankfully, we have already finished so we’ve nothing to do so all we have to do is wait!
I’m doing a drama and powerpoint on cholera and I’m working with Harriet and Jane in 7C. My character is called Ice and I ‘am part of a game show. I think this is a fun way to do personal research because you can work with your friends in other classes.
Eilidh, Imogen and Chloe are in my group and we are doing a drama, model and booklet/guide. Our topic is activities on the river. We are hoping that you get something out of our presentation. Our booklet involves where good places to fish are.
I am not only looking forward to doing our presentation but i am looking forward to watching everyone elses!!

I am working with Jessie Tate 7D and Megan Lorimer 7B and we are doing a poster. We are also trying to do a video. I hope everyone enjoys our presentation.
Our rivers project is going really well and I am doing a power point on river wildlife with Ellen, Iona, Catriona and Julia F.
I’m doing my personal research with Julia and I just finished it.
We thought about it for quite a while and we decided to do it on the Grand Canyon. We are doing a very colourful and informative poster.
