7B’s Anti-Bullying Assembly and Song Writing Debut! October 31, 2007
Posted by Law Upper in : events , trackback7B’s assembly had a song. We wrote the lyrics and some of us brought our instruments into school and we came up with a melody to back the song. Then last Friday all P7 pupils sang the song and we recorded it. Have a listen.
We also included a podcast and a powerpoint.

Everyone who watched our assembly thought it was pretty good so we are performing it again to the middle area. The performance took place on the 26th of October 2007. We performed it to the middle area on the 31st of October. We also had a few dramas in it and to make the song we had a song writing club after school on Wednesday. The club taught the rest of the class the song on Thursday. We got the message over quite well and no one got bored so it went well.

I liked listening to the podcast that I had made with Finlay P & Finlay Hall. I think we all did well in both our performances. I would like to say thanks to the music group for providing good rhythm for our song.

I thought that the assembly was really good and got the message over to everyone ! i learned that there may be reasons for someone to bully like if mabee they are being bullied themselves ! The song was really good and i liked the powerpoint ! Welldone
I thought the assembly was exellent because it got the message across about how bullying is wrong and how you should not do it. I learned that if you are getting bullied you should tell someone about it and don’t let them keep doing it.
I thought that 7B’s assembly was very good. They have got the message across on how not to bully because it can be very hurtful.
And it also told us if we are getting bullied you should tell someone because that will help your situation.
I really liked the assembly. I learned thet bullying can just be your normal group of friends excluding you. We had great fun watching it and then singing the song last week.It all got the message over really well . I especially liked the song.Well Done 7B
THEY ASSEMBLY WAS PHENOMENON AND GOT A GREAT MESSAGE ACROSS LIKE MAYBE THE BULLY IS JEALOUS OR TRYING TO SHOW OFF. THE SONG AT THE END WAS BRILLIANT AND HAD A GREAT TUNE.WELL DONE
I thought the assembly was fantastic. The song must have taken a while.But worth it because it was brilliant.I learned that you could tell your friends about it and if you are to shy they can talk to a teacher for you.Well done 7B!
TH ASSEMBLY WAS AMAZING AND GOT A GREAT MESSAGE ACROSS LIKE MAYBE THE BULLY IS JEALOUS OF YOU OR HE WANTS TO SHOW OFF. THE POWER POINTS AND PODCASTS WERE GREAT BUT I HAD NO VOLUME.
I think that the assembly went very well. At first I thought that we wern’t going to make nearly a WHOLE assembly in 1 day, but I was wrong. The song was good and I never thought that we would be asked to do it to the Middle Area! We had a last minute problem with the Podcast but it all worked out.
I thought the assembly went really well and was very interesting. I also thought it got the message accross well.
I think my favourite bits were the podcast and the powerpoint, I also liked the song.
The assembly had some good dramas, I thought some were quite realistic.
I thought the song was BRILLIANT.
I realy enjoyed learning the words to our song that the songwriting group made. I also thought that the whole assembly went well, especially the song, powerpiont and podcast.
When we got asked to do our assembly again I didn’t think we would be able to do it the same again but we did! The only thing was that we couldn’t get the videos to work but atleast they worked for the upper area!
I think the assembly was great and it got a good message across and the song was great. I learned that bully’s bully either because they have problems at home or they are getting bullied themselves.
7B’s assembly was really good! You made up a really good, catchy, funky song and got the message over really well. Also your powerpoint and podcasts were really good as well. I especially liked the squeeky voice at the end!

i really enjoyed doing the assembly and it was really fun doing the podcast . it was a good laugh making it with finlay pratt and henry but we were really frustrated when all the voices didnt work but we managed to sort it out in the end

p7b’s assembly was really fun to watch and i really loved the song it was great
. I think that bullies are really silly but they should still be given a chance because they might just be bullying because either they themselves are being bullied or they have some sort of problem.

i think our assembly went really well and the song was good to.it was great because i got to play the saxaphone.Also i liked how Ciara,Blake and mrs Lima played the guitar. the problem was you could’nt hear cartiona on the piano.
7b’s assembly was really good and their song was great and made you feel really what bullying is about!! I think that the bullies really looked and acted like proper bullies but they should still have the right to be treated like others and they may be getting bullied themselves or may be having trouble at home or somewere else!!
I really enjoyed making our assembly and our podcast.I think it went well and the audience seemed to like it after having a chat with my friends in other classes.The song was a great success aswell as everything else in the assembly.Everyone put pretty much 100% into making our assembly really great and it was so great we got asked to do it for the P4’s and 5’s too.
I loved our assembly everyone acted really well.My best bit was when Me,Blake,Mrs Lima all played the guitar i was really glad that Mrs Lima played too incase me and Blaked messed up and could’nt start up again,Shannon played the saxaphone BUT YOU COULD’NT HEAR CATRIONA ON THE PIANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed the song writing club that was held after school for the song we were making up that Mrs Lima took and only a few people went too.But we made up a song which should soon be on this weblog soon!!!
I thought it went really well and i enjoyed alot.
The assembley was great everyone really enjoyed it and they learnt alot. I learned that there are two numbers to call 08001111 or 0800441111. The song was really good and must of taken some time and all the podcasts and powerpoints were great too.

I really enjoyed the anti-bullying assembly. I think it had a good point to it. I also think the audience enjoyed it even though we messd up a bit.
Making and preparing the assembly was realy fun and made an important point.We put alot of effort into the song and we were alll surprised at how good it was.Irealy enjoyed making the assembly and I think it would be fun to do another one.
