Homework Timeline Reminder September 10, 2007
Posted by smacniven in : Term 1 2007/08 , trackbackYour Volcano and Earthquake research booklet is due to be handed in this Friday 14th September and we will all spend time looking at and learning from each others work.
Remember it is very important to pace and organise yourself so that you are not rushing at the last minute.
I would be helpful for others if you could recommend a useful website or other source that you have used. Tell us why you are recommending it too! Here isĀ one to get us started:

I would like to recommend Mount Vesuvius the wikipedia because it has lots of information and really good pictures about what Vesuvius destroyed in 79 AD.

I liked this website because it had everything I needed and had clear pictures of the devastion caused by the earthquake 101 years ago.

i recommend a book called volcanoes i found this very interesting and i got lots of imformastion from it

The volcano that I did was Mount st Helens.For my earthquake I did an under water earthquake called tsunami.I thought finding out aqbout a Tsunami was very intresting.And finding out about an volcano realy fun.I am enjoying the project at the moment. I used Tsunami`s for kids to do my research, it was really interesting, it was at our level and I copy and pasted some bits and deleted bits.
My volcano is Mount Vesuvius and my earthquake is the San Francisco earthquake.I really enjoyed doing this project and learned a lot from it about volcanoes and earthquakes.
I am doing for my earthquake on tsumie and my volcanoe vusvisibo
I am doing the San Fransisco earthquake 1989. I am also doing Mount Fuji volcano I did it all my volcano yesterday and I did my earthquake on monday I am going to put it all togerther after scool today. the San fransisco eartquake only lasted 15 seconds but killed 69 people. Mount Fuji last erupted in 1706

For my volcano I did Mount Vesuvius.For my Earthquake I did The great 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.I really enjoyed doing both of my projects because it told me a lot about what happened in these two diasasters.That destroyed Pompii and San Francisco.
For my volano I did the great Mauna Loa in Hawaii. For my earthquake I did the almighty San Francisco, but i haven’t finished yet but i’m doing it all tonight. The funnest thing I think would have to be trying to find the information on lots of different websites.
For my project Volcanoes and Earthquakes i chose the Volcano Mount St. Helens and my Earthquake dosen’t have a name but it is in Turkey. I have finished my reaserch i thought it was quite fun finding out lots more things about volcanoes and earthquakes. I used lots of new websites and books to help me some of the books i used were http://www.wikipedia.co.uk, book of volcanoes and http://www.earthquakesforkids.com it was really fun.
The volcano that I done was called Colima. For my earthquake I done San Fernado. I thought trying to find the information was kind of hard, the earthquake informatrion was a lot harder to find than the volcano information. I used http://www.livescience.com but I found It on google. I liked making the front cover and colouring it. I just have to do my contents page and then I am finished.
