Vikings Raid P3 Classroom October 12, 2007
Posted by smacniven in : 2007-08, P3 , 3commentsMrs Smith’s class (P3) have been having great fun designing viking materials in school and out. They have made a viking longboat in their classroom with help from the P3 art teacher. The ship is made out of painted strips of card which look like perfect planks of wood, it took them 1 week to paint all the planks and then 1 week to stick them onto a humungous piece of cloth. As a homework task they have made an incredible variety of viking accesories like helmets, shields, jewelery, axes, swords and one incredibly crafted chess set. The chess set was created by a very dedicated girl named Alex. She crafted it out of air drying clay and it was really realistic. The whole class have obviously learned a tremendous amount of facts and are all looking forward to their trip to a viking museum after the holidays.
