Internet Safety Training for Parents and Families

If your son or daughter uses Bebo, Myspace, MSN Messenger, Youtube or other social networking sites, they could be putting themselves in danger.

The internet is a fantastic resource if used safely!

This course will be held at North Berwick High School on Tuesday 24th June 2008 7 -9pm.

It is for adults in the High School cluster area only.

Contact the High School office to book a place.

Places will be limited.

Painting pride.

Iona Ross’s dad works at Greens and Blues on North Berwick high Street and has kindly donated a beautiful painting to the school. The artist is a German man named Peter Joly. Peter Joly works in Holland but his paintings can be found allover Europe and the United States but Greens and Blues is currently the only place in Scotland where you can get hold of his art. It is being raffled for £1 a ticket and it retails at Galleries from £700 to £900 and is called The Poppy Meadow. To get hold of a ticket for this 1m by 1m astounding piece of artwork a letter is going out to parents and all you have to do is return the slip to Law Primary School.   By Finlay and Fergus

Middle Area Scots Afternoon

On Wednesday the 20th of February we had a great afternoon.

Something Smells A Bit Fischy!!!

Law Primary pupils are no strangers to a song or two!  Primary 4 and 5 children, in the middle area, regularly get together to learn new songs, written by Stephen Fischbacher.  His charitable company, Fischy Music, uses music and participative singing as a method of teaching children to explore issues such as bullying, friendship and self esteem.  Over the past ten years, Fischy Music has worked with over 400 primary schools, including Law Primary!

Stephen  Fischbacher will be visiting Law Primary School again at the end of February, when he will be working with primary 4.  Classes 4A, 4B and 4C have already been learning new songs and practising them to perform in a public performance at the Brunton Theatre on Monday 3rd March.  They will perform their song, with actions, to other classes from across East Lothian.

Unfortunately, this performance will not be open to the public, however, there will be a Family Concert on Friday 29th February in Saint Andrew Blackadder Church on North Berwick High Street at 6.30pm.  Tickets cost £3 each and can be bought from Greens and Blues.
