Ruthven Barracks

We all went to the Barracks  on Tuesday night which was like an old castle. It took about 15 or 20 minutes on the bus. When we got there Mrs Bingham and Miss Hasket went up to the Barracks and hid lots of sweets then we had to find them. it was great fun!!! Then we all went back on the bus to the Youth Hostel.    by Erin

Aviemore Week: Our visit to Landmark

Posted by kmpsyr6 on 18th May 2007

On Wednesday morning we went to Landmark. First of all our group went on the squirrel hunt and it was fun. Next we went on the flumes. We liked the otter and it was really dark, and we also went on the wild cat which was bumpy but really good. We went on the falcon which was really fast.

We were supposed  to go to the fire tower but we never had time. We went to ant land which was superb. We thought it was amazing.

Sky Dive

Some of the other activities that people did were to go on gokarts, in a maze and a simulated rock climb the Pinnacle. Those people who were brave and tall enough did the Sky Dive!

Stirling Castle

Posted by kmpsyr6 on 18th May 2007

On the way up to Aviemore we stopped at Stirling Castle to have some fresh air.

Then we got into our groups so we could look around the castle. We saw some amazing bits of history in the castle such as the chapel that is still used today. We also went to the museum in the castle.

Then we met up to eat our lunch. After visiting some more of the castle we set off for the Youth Hostel.
