Humbie Lunch Club
‘News’ from the ‘April 2008 Humbie Parish Newsletter’:
Our coffee morning in November ['07] was a great success and we are very grateful to everyone who came! We had a good outing to the pantomime followed by high tea, a very popular Christmas party in December and the usual Burns Lunch festivities in January ['08]. The school has made several welcome visits to the club, including a recent beetle drive!
The summer outing is still in the planning stage, but travel and tea will feature!!
There is always room for extras, so if you would like to join us for any of these events, please get in touch. Apart from a 2 week break after Christmas and 6 weeks in the summer, we meet every Wednesday in the village hall for lunch followed by activities, but mainly for a laugh, a reminiscence, a moan, or just a blether with a cup of tea!
We are indebted to the community (not forgetting the school!) for all their help & support.
