Hello,
I wonder if anyone knows who the minister of the church would have been around 1954-1959. As a little girl I spent 2 long periods of my life at the Children’s Holiday village and was taught there by the minister’s daughter. I wonder if she is still alive as I would like to know more about the village and find out if anyone has access to photographs. There seems to be a lack of information about the village at that time, which is very frustrating for myself and my sister who are trying to put that period of our life into perspective.
I would appreciate any information at all.
I hope this gives you some ideas of where you might find the information you seek, if you’re searching “remotely”. Perhaps the most expedient way to get an answer would be to contact our Parish Minister (Rev. Malcolm Lyon, whose email address is malcolmlyon2@hotmail.com), or visit the Church, as I believe there’s a list of ministers past & present.
I post hoping to gain your kind permission to transcribe on to the Humbie Blog your April 2008 Letter as it appeared in the last Humbie Parish Newsletter.

We had a great sponsored walk and it raised over £650:00 which will go to the repair of a stained glass window.
Dear Ms Urquhart,
I’ve only just seen your 10/03/08 comment and wondered how you are getting on with your research. Have you seen these web pages?
