Monday’s child is green and spotty
Tuesday’s child is dirty and grotty
Wednesday’s child is simpley potty
Thursdays child has a big, big botty
Fridays child hates his bed
Saturday’s child refuses to be fed
The child born on the seventh day will be daft all day O.K

Monday’s child is full of beans,
Tuesday’s child is very un clean,
Wednesday’s child is green and spotty,
Thursday’s child must go potty,
Friday’s child hates being fed,
Saturday’s child will never go to bed,
The child born on the last day will never pay but will always have thier say!

ECO fun May 14, 2008

John, Orla, Liam and Jordan made a deer.
Sarah, Beth, Anna and Iola made birds
Callum, Ben and Toby made a badger.
Sam and Imogen made a fox.
The nursery children made a rabbit and hedgehog.
Dunbar Mini Rugby Tournament May 9, 2008
Posted by P4-7 in : P1-3 , add a commentOn Saturday 27th of April Callum, Ben and Toby went to Dunbar Mini Rugby Tournament. It was the end of the rugby season match.Callum, Ben and Toby played for the Gifford Goblins. Haddington, Dunbar, Forester and Dalkeith were also there. They did not play Forester because they had only older ones.
Callum scored 2 tries, Toby scored no tries and Ben scored 1 try.
Well done Boys !!!

ECO WEEK 12th-19th MAY 2008 May 7, 2008
Posted by Mhairi Stratton in : Community, School , add a commentThis year we are working towards our third green flag. As part of this process we have been busy organising an Eco Week. This will be held between 12th and 16th May, followed by a silent auction on Monday 19th May. As you can see from the details below, it will be an action-packed week:
MONDAY
- All children to be given a piece of wood on which they must paint a nature picture. Wooden pictures to be displayed on fence on Friday.·
- Nursery walk around village to collect leaves, twigs etc for Tuesday’s collage pictures.·
- P1-7 ‘Get Wild’ in woods and collect items for collage.
TUESDAY ·
- Nursery and P1/3: 9.45 am ‘Get Creative’
- Choose an animal to decorate with leaves leaves etc.
- 11.00 am P4-7 to join the nursery and P1/3 pupils to look at the pictures and make their own
WEDNESDAY ·
- 9.00 am onwards All making bird/bat boxes with Mr Keefe.
THURSDAY ·
- 9.30 am All going on a ECO Detective Walk·
- Waste Audit/Lunch Audit
FRIDAY ·
- 9.30 am ECO Game for everyone·
- 11.00 am Litter Pick Up for everyone followed by Open Garden and refreshments
- Everyone is welcome to join us for the litter pick up followed by the official opening of the wildlife garden. We will meet in the playground at 11.00 am.
MONDAY, 19th
· Silent Auction 7pm-8:30pm at Humbie Village HallWine and Nibbles available.
Hope you will be able to join us on Friday morning and Monday evening.
Gardening Fun May 7, 2008

P1-3 picked the daffodils and sold them in their shop- very enterprising!
Everyone helped to prepare the soil and then planted and watered the new flowers. The playground looks lovely - well done!
