The BFG!

Last modified on 2009-06-15 14:16:32 GMT. 0 comments. Top.

We have been reading The BFG by Roald Dahl as our class novel.  It is a brilliant book and we wrote some book reviews about the story.  Here are some of them.

We have been working in groups to make these posters about rainforest animals.  Have a look at our interesting facts we have found.

Discovery in the Rainforest

Last modified on 2009-05-24 21:07:49 GMT. 0 comments. Top.

We wrote a story about a discovery in the rainforest.  We had to think about what we would see, hear, smell and feel in the rainforest.  We thought about what you might discover.

Stick Insects

Last modified on 2009-05-17 09:04:12 GMT. 0 comments. Top.

We have stick insects in our classroom.  We have to feed them with Miss Jones.  We also have to clean them out every week.  It is funny when they dance!

Our Rainforest Display

Last modified on 2009-05-11 21:28:58 GMT. 0 comments. Top.

We are learning about the rainforest.  We have made quite a lot of rainforest animals.

We have stick insects.  They blend in with the sticks.

We collected pinecones for our display.

We made our rainforest display by having a vote on where the animals live eg blue and yellow macaws live in the canopy.

Trip to Binning Woods

Last modified on 2009-05-17 08:56:03 GMT. 0 comments. Top.

We went to Binning Woods.  In Binning woods there are lots of trees.  There was a big pond.  We saw thousands of tadpoles.  Everyone liked the sounds in the wood.

We did some interesting things.  We played a game called Badgers where we had to guide our partner along the trail with a blindfold on.  We also had to look at a picture and find where it was in the woods.  It was really good and we learned lots of things about the rainforest.
