Visit from Farmer Elder
The Primary 1s were delighted to have a visit from Hugo’s dad who told the children all about his interesting job on the farm.
The children shared their thoughts and learning -
‘I now know what they do on a farm’ - Amelia
‘I liked looking at the combine harvester’ - Louise
‘I liked the movies, they showed us what happened on the farm’ - Samuel
‘They don’t just look after animals, they grow stuff’ - Julia
‘We now know why they put tags on cow’s ears’ - Holly
‘I got to hold the plant (wheat)’ - Dean
‘I liked when he showed us the combine harvester’ - Felix

A great big thank you must go to Farmer Elder for giving up his time to come into school and tell the children all about farming. I wonder what he grows in his fields.
