In their new home-teams the Primary 6 children at Gullane Primary were given the following challenge.
Produce a large map of Europe, showing the different countries and their flags. Your map should indicate which countries are members of the European Union and which have adopted the Euro. Your map must include a key. As well as your map, you should include a written piece of work which explains simply, what the E.U. is and how/why the flag was designed.

As part of our Europe project, the class have been finding out about flags. This morning they were given the following challenge.
Produce two flags and an information sheet. First, go to the nava.org website and read the information about making and designing flags.
The first flag you produce should be that of the country given to you last week. The second flag should use the colours of your country but be redesigned to represent your home-team. As well as your flags, your group should present at least an A4 side of paper which explains what a flag is for, and gives the reader some information about flags.
Remember to assign new task roles, and use your agreed method for making decisions.
