We have been looking at how information is organised in a newspaper. The class were given this challenge.

Use a current newspaper to find and cut out articles on the following - an accident report, a local news item, an international news item, a letter to the editor, a book/film/theatre report, a birth/death notice, a science/environmental item, a classified ad and a weather forecast.

Using a large sheet of card/paper print the newspaper’s name and date in bold heading at the top.

Glue and label your articles onto it. Use sub-headings for the different sections.

It was great to see this in action today! I was one of many visiting teachers to Gullane Primary, and was amazed at how engaged, challenged and motivated everyone was.
Thankyou for allowing me a sneaky peek in your learning.
Well done everyone!
