P5, this week we are learning how a mixture of solids can be separated. You will be given a mixture of salt and sand and must find a way to separate the two in your science groups.
Leave a comment with any ideas you have on how you could carry out this task. What equipment will you need?

Primary 5 have been developing their opinions on a range of poetry. They have chosen a favourite poem from the poetry table in groups. They have then podcasted their poems which will be available to listen to on this blog shortly. P5 will also be making a cd of their poems to give to parents.
P5 - please leave a comment, saying the name of your poem and why you liked it.

Primary 5 - we have come to the end of our reading workshops based on advertising.
What have you learned about the main features included in adverts? What have you learned about how advertisers try to influence people?
Leave a comment to this post, telling the class what you have learned.

Today we did a challenge. we had to count down from 32/the number of children. One person per number but we were not allowed two of us to say the same number as another member of the class. It was really hard untill someone took control.

This morning we are having a reading workshop and learning to recognise the difference between fact and opinion.
We looked at different types of writing on the Newsround website and picked out examples of fact and opinion in our reading groups.
P5, please leave a comment from your group at the end of the workshop to share what you have learnt this morning. Will this change the way you write your next Newspaper report on Thursday?
