E.s solid liquid and gases

P5 were learning about how we can change solids liquids and gases.
we made bread, lemonade, postman pat cakes and jelly.
we tasted the lemonade, ate all of the jelly and gobbled the bread the lemonade was
okay but only 1 person liked it.

Sandwich Instructions!

Primary 5 are learning how to write instructions.

We created our own favourite sandwiches, thinking about each step carefully. We then wrote detailed instructions to inform others how to make our favourite sandwiches.

Of course we had a picnic afterwards to taste them!

Solids, Liquids and Gases

particles-p5-2.mov
Primary 5 are embarking on a new science topic - solids, liquids and gases. We have been investigating the properties of solids, liquids and gases. We discovered that the particles behave very differently in each state. We tried to demonstrate on our playground how these particles behave !

Primary 5 - can you let us know what you have found out about the properties of solids, liquids and gases?

learning

I think that mrs macIver`s active teachings is so much better than a work-sheet or text-book.
The interactive white board has been a great sucess in p7,p5,p1 and the nersurey thanks so much.

Electricity Challenge

electricity1.movelectricity2.movelectricity4.movelectricity.mov

Primary 5 have been designing and creating electrical models in science. We created design boards showing how our creations would be made and drew the circuit diagrams to go with them. They are still a work in progress for some of us but those who have finished have explained a little about how their models and circuits work.
