mmm, you're onto a winner there if Mr M realises he has to wipe off the goo first. I suspect GPD would just get out the camping stove.

lol! i just keep saying: speak to the committee and it feels brilliant! :-)

as for oven cleaner, i'm useless at housework so i love Mr Muscle oven cleaner, spray it on, leave it to play with child and then Mr M will go to cook dinner and realise he has to wipe off the goo. Then i have a clean cooker with limited effort :-) hahahaha

"How to leave a committee" would need a sequel "How not to join another committee". I'm very proud of myself as I managed to sit on my hands all the way through the badminton club AGM. It came very close though...

You should write a book "How to leave a committee". It would be a bestseller - so many people would like to know the answer, so if you've done it and survived to tell the tale, you could cash in!

Hi...glad to hear that you've managed at last to get off the committee!!

After the kids left swimming club, I vowed that I had been on enough committees now - 3 playgroup committees, dancing, swimming club, toddlers, PTA etc etc ... and my words to my husband were... that's it!!........

HOWEVER, yes - isn't there always one of those.... here I am now on the Parent Council and dancing committee (a different one this time!).. and with hubby still ferrying boys to football (even though he stood down as coach... wanting to take a year out!!).... Child No.1 moves to High School in August and wants to know if I'm going to involved there just like I am now at Primary School!!

When does the time come when I can take a break... or am I one of those, just like you, who is destined to do this for the rest of my days!???

Not sure you'd settle for a tenner if you saw it. Difficult to clean an oven with a leg in plaster and somehow it never got back to the top of the agenda!

Slip us a tenner and I'll clean your oven. D'you know what those companies charge? It'd be cheaper buying a new cooker...

Glad to hear you found a chair solution. Can you come up with a better model than the committee per se? There's got to be a more effective answer out there!
