It makes me mad that you are not getting any support from your committee. I suggest e-mailing a list of those side-effects (without your comments after each of them) to your co-members. Then stand up at the next meeting and thank who-ever you fancy passing your responsibilities on to for their support in this tricky time. Somehow I don't think they will refuse then.
