Oh well, seeing as you’re all so interested, I’ll have to tell you. It’s Sabellaria alveolata or honeycomb worm, which forms reefs on shores all round Cardigan Bay - and elsewhere but, apart from the Solway, not in Scotland. My plans to write a little post about the week’s fieldwork have somewhat fallen by the wayside I’m afraid.
