As a teacher, parent and musician, I think you make important points. I have to say that my experience has been that it has always been possible to discuss my children's progress with the instrumental teacher at parent's night. I look forward to more of your cooments. I can’t really answer many of your questions. I do know however that some secondary schools have musical instructor parent evenings.
