Back to work…

So, it was the dreaded alarm this morning. Back to school. This time however, I’ve got the added bonus of starting my next CT modules at Stirling Uni at the end of the first week back teaching. So, I’m already faced with 4 pieces of reading which need to be done before the first Saturday. What I do like however is that as well as giving the four references which need to be read, each reference is followed by a paragraph or two explaining why this is relevant and how it will inform my learning.

Right then, I’d better stop procrastinating and get on with it!

Hi it is great reading your blog for two reasons. I like to keep up with the xcellent blogging from East Lothian teachers and I think CTs need to blog more. Do you have a Glow log in and will you include Glow in your claims, research or writing?
I should also say that I am supporting East Lothian with Glow ….. I also advise and assess on the CTP. Would you be interested in getting involved with a National Glow group for CTs?
    A sympathetic CT.

    Hi Fearghal,

If I can be of any help - just ask :)

Thanks to both of you! Very helpful comments indeed.

Margaret, I am sure you will be taken up on that offer at some point. I think I might store it up until I need something big proof read ;-)

Martin, I’ll send you an email.

    Hi Fearghal,

I followed the link to the Stirling Uni CT site.

The descriptions of the Stirling Uni linked option modules -’Developing Contexts for Learning’ and ‘Developing Cognitive Capabilities’ sound very much like the descriptions of two of the modules I completed with UWS.

The UWS modules were entitled ‘Equality and Diversity in Education’ and ‘Developing Cognitive Flexibility’.

I take it you’re studying one of the linked option modules … or have I read it wrong :)
