Edubuzz blog centre http://edubuzz.org/blogs Where East Lothian Learners publish to the web Wed, 25 Feb 2009 16:05:52 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.5.1 en Tam O’Shanter http://edubuzz.org/blogs/blog/2009/02/25/tam-oshanter/ http://edubuzz.org/blogs/blog/2009/02/25/tam-oshanter/#comments Wed, 25 Feb 2009 16:05:52 +0000 Gael Gillan http://edubuzz.org/blogs/?p=48 This term the Primary 7 pupils have been working on Tam O’Shanter.  They have been learning the peom to recite and have been looking at the story in some detail.  In ICT they have have been working on a program called Kar2ouche Tam O’Shanter.  This program allows the children to make and present a storyboard made up from single frames.  They can manipulate figures, add background, add sound effects and even record their own voices.  As an additional ‘event’ we invited Don Ledingham, the Acting Director of Education along to speak to the children about the peom and to present to them, in a most entertaining way his version of Tam O’Shanter.  Click on the link below to view the video and watch this space for a view of Kar2ouche Tam O’Shanter.
