I hadn’t looked at this page for a few days (busy getting an essay ready for submission as well as preparing students for their exams). When I did I found I had missed this meeting. I’m still not quite clear why I didn’t know this meeting was on - I assume we were all supposed to know about it before this post. Can someone please tell me the route for notifying us or did I miss a viatl piece of information at the first meeting?
The date for the CT meeting has always been in the CPD events section of this blog. You should have received an email confirming the date. As soon as we confirm the next date we shall post it on the blog as well as emailing staff. Maybe if staff could indicate in the comments section if they wish to attend?

Thanks for that - I didn’t think to check there and I certainly didn’t receive an email. I’ll watch here for it next time just in case the email doesn’t come.
Jenni there was a few of us who did not receive notification due to a glitch? There were only a few of us there but it was interesting nevertheless. The outcome was that we will be meeting a few times a year to discuss how Chartered Teachers in East Lothian see their role in moving teaching and learning forward. Not only in our own schools but setting up networks between cluster schools, primary and secondary etc. see Don`s analogy of his tartan swatch and venn diagram. We appreciate that there are some great examples of this going on around the region but it is not consistent.
I am a member of the 3 - 18 Curriculum Group along with several other teachers and it has been suggested that we could feedback the issues which are covered at our meetings. As this will impact upon us all. Perhaps focusing on one relevant /appropriate theme. As Lynne says dates will be posted here.
Did anyone get an e-mail about the meeting? I certainly didn’t and neither did the other CT in school. It had never occurred to me to look on the CPD page, either, and so I only found out from the reminder notice the night before, too late to be possible to attend.
I wa sorry to miss it.
