Using Blogroll links to “peer assess” beyond the classroom walls
P3 bloggers at Haddington Infant School are now each being provided with a Blogroll containing links to all 90-odd P3 student blogs across the 4 P3 classes. You can see an example here at Andrew’s blog.

How are we doing?
Around 200 teachers took part in a survey just before Christmas to provide feedback to the IT department and Education about the level of technical support currently provided to schools. The Survey was conducted nationally by SOCITM (Society of IT Managers) and this time round involved 8 Local Authorities from Scotland and England.

Exc-el blogs: Default & Classic Themes are now widget-friendly
These have been modified with scripts from Automattic’s WordPress Widget pack. You can now activate and use Sidebar Widgets on both themes. Activate them by going to the Plugins menu. Then go to Presentation / Sidebar Widgets to drag the ones you want from the widgets toolbox.
