out64.jpgThe Primary 5 class have managed to get a telephone interview with the MP Ann Widdecombe. We will be speaking to her in the third week of February. In preparation for the interview we have been studying how to ask good quality questions. We now know about open and closed questions and can be a quality audience to make sure we listen well. We will be putting our interview on this blog and the school web-site we hope you will listen to it and give us some feed-back. All of our draft questions can be viewed on our wiki pages. If you want to join our wiki space just follow the instructions on the home page. If you want to see her web-site follow this link. Ann Widdecombe.

Our P6 class have been learning how to play carpet bowls. It has proved to be popular, so popular in fact that the school have bought two full length carpets and all of the equipment to allow us to compete against each other. It is great to have an activity we can still do when the weather is rubbish.

In Primary 5 we are using computers to learn how to present our work in a new way. We have a collaborative writing web-site we would love you to join. Just follow the link. We are busy making powerpoint presentations and animated movies. Here are some examples for you to look at. Get in touch and let us see your work.

This is an example of a movie made using iCanAnimate. It was made by Cameron, Beth and Lisa in P5. Can you work out how we made the dog fly?

We have also been making lots of Powerpoint presentations about Europe and Myths and Legends. Here is one Caitlin and Megan made about an Indian story called the Bharunda bird.

Have a good look at them and let us know what you think. We will post more later.
