Huge congratulations to Mrs Currie who gave birth to Joshua Issac at 9.12pm on Friday night

Joshua weighed in 10lb 4oz. Both mum and baby are well and Connor and Caleb are delighted with their baby brother. Lots of love from all the staff, children, parents and friends at ELPS.

Apple Crumble

Kay Henderson kindly brought in apples from her garden. We made apple crumble for snack with the help of Matthew and Jamie. Firstly we chopped the apples, then we made the crumble topping. Lots of us really enjoyed it. It was delicious.

Eco School - Help needed!

As you may have noticed, the summer break has taken its toll on our west garden – weeds in abundance!

We are looking for volunteers to spend a few hours to tidy up our garden. Members of our Eco Committee will be in the garden to guide and support helpers each Monday and Wednesday morning from 9am – 11 am beginning on 1^st September.

If you can help, please contact Mrs Gordon or turn up at any session.

Hopefully, in a few weeks , we will be able to see some plants again!

We are also hoping more adults will join our committee. If you would like to know more about our role, please contact Mrs Gordon.

Welcome back

Mrs Gilmour and Theresa are delighted to welcome back all the familiar faces from last year. We think they are all glad to be back! We have also been welcoming our new children, who have settled in very quickly and are learning all about Nursery life. Everyone has been very busy.
Dottie and Goldie the Nursery goldfish, have also returned from their holidays. They went to sunny Tyninghame for 7 weeks, they came back ready to meet our new children and are glad to be back in Nursery.

2 more days of holiday!!

The Parent Council hopes everyone has a great summer - relax and enjoy the break whatever the weather!

If you’re having a clear out during the holidays join us at the Table Top Sale in the Community Hall on Saturday 9^th August – we have booked two tables for this event and hope to raise some funds for school. We are also planning to produce a School Calendar next term and need someone to help us produce the artwork for this project - contact Kay on 860074 if you’re able to help us out.

P3 on the seashore.

As part of our Seashore studies, we visited Yellowcraigs and the Scottish Seabird Centre. The Ranger took us out to the rockpools where we found lots of interesting creatures. Afterwards we had a picnic lunch at North Berwick and went to the Seabird Centre. We watched puffins and other birds on the cameras and also made craft rockpools in the Education Centre.Many thanks to all our adult helpers. We had a great time! >

P4 Enterprise

The children in P4 have been very busy over the past weeks preparing for ‘ A Musical Sing Song’. They enthusiastically performed on 11th June, to a tremendous turn out of Senior Citizens from the local community and again to their proud parents on 13th June. The children and Miss Wallace are indebted to Joyce Murray (better known as Granny Joyce to pupils) for her immeasurable help, inspirational guidance and outstanding piano playing.Thanks also to the Parent Council who kindly agreed to serve refreshments whilst the pupils chatted eagerly to their audience. >

P1 Assembly

We have been finding out about minibeasts and decided to show other classes what we have learned. We produced and performed our own show where we had a dancing caterpillar and sang lots of songs. >
