Eco Schools

We have achieved our Silver Eco Schools Award and are currently working towards our Green Flag. Our Pupil Councillors are all members of the Eco Committee, together with staff, parents and community partners such as East Linton Horticultural Society.

I think that the energy patrol is a good idea.

Thank you to Sean Mainwaring and Jaimee Pickard for highlighting the Lunch Munch challenge re reducing waste from school packed lunches. Lets hope young people and parents will take up the challenge, do their bit for the environment and maybe win the school a cash prize.

I think this challenge is great!
We use small plastic bags for packed lunches, recycled from buying fruit and veg at Tesco’s. I ask the boys to bring them home and wash them so they can be re-used several times. We tried using little plastic boxes, but the lids kept going missing.

Many thanks to everyone who has helped in all our Eco School projects this year. We are well on our way to achieving Green Flag status.
