The children in P4 have been very busy over the past weeks preparing for ‘ A Musical Sing Song’. They enthusiastically performed on 11th June, to a tremendous turn out of Senior Citizens from the local community and again to their proud parents on 13th June. The children and Miss Wallace are indebted to Joyce Murray (better known as Granny Joyce to pupils) for her immeasurable help, inspirational guidance and outstanding piano playing. Thanks also to the Parent Council who kindly agreed to serve refreshments whilst the pupils chatted eagerly to their audience. >

As part of our Health week, Primary 4 decided to organise a

“TUTTI FRUITY TUCK SHOP”.

We sold a variety of fruit every day for a week at only 10p each! and as it was such a HUGE!! success we have since then, sold fruit ONE day per week. There has been SUCH a good response from the ALL the classes - THANK YOU for YOUR SUPPORT (especially P6 who have bought the most! and Mags one of our Playground Supervisors who has been our STAR STAFF buyer! )

As a result of this, we are THINKING about having our

“TUTTI FRUITY TUCK SHOP” EVERY day!!

SO!!… Could you PLEASE let us know what you think?

Your ideas are VERY important to us!….. So get typing!!…….

We eagerly await your opinion!

We look forward to reading your comments on the blog.

As part of our Health Week activities every class from P1 to P7 went out to the field with Mrs Mckendrick and ran (or walked if they were getting tired) around a half mile circuit. Every time they completed a circuit they received a token and these were added up at the end of the day to see how far the school had travelled.
These were the results for the individual classes:
P1 57 miles
P2 71 miles
P3 70 miles

P4 66 miles
P5 104 miles
P6 78 miles
P7 97 and a half miles
Some classes have been outside skipping with Emma our Active Schools Co-ordinator.

dscf0320.JPGdscf0325.JPGdscf0322.JPGOur outdoor classroom is taking shape!  Parent helpers have been working at school today, planting the willow structure which will surround the ‘den’ area.  Primary 4 helped with the planting and Primary 1 gave the willow a good watering this afternoon.
