A Busy Week for P3 January 16, 2009

We have had a very busy week in Primary Three, and we thought we should tell you about it!
We have been researching Australian animals on the internet and reporting back to the class as if we were news reporters. I think that some of Primary Three might end up as real life news reporters when they are older, as they were all so good at it!
We have also been painting in the style of traditional Aboriginal paintings, and the results are amazing - come and look at our display!
As if that wasn’t enough we have been doing balances in Gymnastics, measuring objects around our classroom, practising our 4 times table, watching clips of Aussie animals in action and making up animal characters for stories!!!!!
Wow - What a week!!!!!
Thank you for working hard Primary Three, I definitely think you deserve a big rest this weekend - I know I will be going to bed early tonight!

Posted by elps in : Uncategorized , 2comments We looked at the blog this morning and saw that no one had updated it for a while so we are going to tell you some of our news!Eden reports that the school is trying to get its first Green Flag. We are being assessed on the 2nd February and our class is learning about water. Jack says that we have a giant tap in our classroom and he thinks it might put the P7s off their work as it is so big.
Eden had no duvet this morning - it had fallen off in the night!
Jake told us that Mrs Gordon and Mick are trying to find out how much water we use in school.
Caitlin and Rachel went swimming on Saturday and jumped in from the boom. It felt like we were having a heart attack but when we jumped in it was easy. P4 are having swimming lessons from school at the moment.
We have got a Bronze level Green Tree Award from the Woodland Trust this weekend. It is on display at the front of the school. Don’t forget to recycle your Christmas cards in school. We are only two points away from getting our silver award.
Finlay didn’t want to get out of his bed yesterday to go swimming as it was too early so he hid under the covers! Let’s hope he’s ready for swimming tomorrow.
