Here is a picture of Pvblivs Clavdivs Tacitvs. He visited our class on Tuesday. He had a real sword, a real dagger, a real wooden shield and had red feathers on his helmet. He had brown leather sandals and stinky socks!
We were a bit scared till we found out he was not a real soldier, just a man dressed up as one. He told us lots of stories about what it was like being a Roman soldier.

Wow how fantastic.
It was fun seeing the roman soldier and he told us lots about Romans
We really enjoyed our visit from the roman soldier and listening to the stories he told us.
What did the Romans (ever) do for us?
(said with my best John Cleese accent)
Have you got the name of the Roman soldier who visited you? This would be great for our year group.
Thanks,
