As part of our Health week, Primary 4 decided to organise a
“TUTTI FRUITY TUCK SHOP”.
We sold a variety of fruit every day for a week at only 10p each! and as it was such a HUGE!! success we have since then, sold fruit ONE day per week. There has been SUCH a good response from the ALL the classes - THANK YOU for YOUR SUPPORT (especially P6 who have bought the most! and Mags one of our Playground Supervisors who has been our STAR STAFF buyer! )
As a result of this, we are THINKING about having our
“TUTTI FRUITY TUCK SHOP” EVERY day!!
SO!!… Could you PLEASE let us know what you think?
Your ideas are VERY important to us!….. So get typing!!…….

I think a fruit tuck shop is a great idea. There is more chance of the kids having a piece fruit when they are able to choose it and buy it themselves than if they were to bring it from home.

I think that this would be fab, I wouldn’t have to worry about having to find something every day to put in Mark’s bag and it would be ok to have a healthy fruit snack because lots of other people would be having it too. Hope you get lots of positive responses.
You have got your Tutti Fruity Tuck Shop very well organised now. I think it would be great to give everyone the opportunity to buy fruit every day. How about making one day a week when you introduce a fruit that some children might not have tried before?

Mrs Daly thinks it is a great idea for children to bring their own money to buy fruit and we are composting the waste.

i don’t think they should do it all week i think like 3times a week.
I realy like the TUTTI FRUITY TUCK SHOP, it’s realy tasty but I still think it should not be on all week.

its a realy good idea think it should be on every 2days or something, realy like the apple and pears (michael)

i think you should have it on 3 times a week and its all right
i think the fruit tuck shop should be on mondays and fridays

We think it’s a great idea because we are a healthy school and this is a way we can buy fruit and keep healthy. The price is only 10p so lots of parents think it’s worth it. Well done P4!!
i think the tuck shop is good for everyone to eat healtily
I think it’s great. Good idea to have it available every day - doesn’t mean people have to go every day but at least the option is there for those who want it. Also, the fruit is probably fresher and in better condition not bouncing around inside school bags (or getting left there to rot!)
This has been great. The children really seem to like going and choosing their own fruit much better than being sent with it. Definately good to have it more days. Great name too. Such a good idea P4.
I think its fantastic, a fun way to encourage the children to have a healthy snack, my son has bought some every time! He has talked about it a lot and thinks it’s a good thing to do and to have for everyone.
THANK YOU everyone for your terrific comments! We appreciate them VERY MUCH! We are having a GREAT time arranging the Tutti Fruity Tuck Shop (and eating LOTS of fruit too!!) It is so WONDERFUL to know that the rest of our pupils are enjoying the fruit SO much…. AND that the parents and friends of the School support us too!
