Visit by The Edinburgh String Quartet

Published by Dirleton Pupil under Uncategorized

On Tuesday 6th November we had a visit from the Edinburgh String Quartet. We all had to bring some stones in to use in the music making. We had to accompany the quartet with an orchestra of percussion. We all had different instruments to play and we all had different parts of the music to play.

We had to practise all morning and play a performance to the school in the afternoon. It was really hard work to concentrate for that long but we did it and everyone who watched said we were really good.

We had to keep our eyes on Ken, the conductor at all times so that we started and stopped at the right time. I really enjoyed the day.
