LaTEX is here guys. A great big thank you to Mr Jones and David Gilmour for making it happen for us. I’m sure it wasn’t easy. LaTEX allows you to type in mathematical expressions using special codes. These display nicely in posts and comments. Hopefully it will make our lives easier when communicating problems and solutions to each other. There is a tutorial page at the link below. I will endeavour to produce a quickguide to commands for you and post it sometime. I’ll have to finish my marking first unfortunately. I’m sure you’re all as excited as myself and Mr jones about this.
here’s a start on the smiley face challenge:

We’re trying to create a maths graph smiley by plotting curves. The challenge is to produce the best smiley you can using the graph function. Enjoy.
How about a pupil?
I wonder if we can fill the pupil?
Thats pretty class
How do you do those graphs? I can’t find it in the linked page. It only talks about writing formulae like

Steve-O - you had put in some superscript 2s where you should have had ^2 - I edited them for you because I wanted to see what you had created. Nice face!
