The high school was great! The lessons were really good and fun. My favourite lesson was music, we got to play on some keyboards, had a shot at some samba drums and normal drums. The lunches were very cheap and there was a big selection of what to eat.

Everyone is excited because tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday we’re going up to the high school for a 3 day visit! If you would like have a look at the larbert high school website here.

Here is an aboriginal thing about musical instruments.

The Aborigines, like the Christians, had their own stories that explained the origin of the world, themselves and all that make up the world that provided Aboriginal people with a strong and close association with the land for thousands of years. These stories gave unity and purpose to Aboriginal societies in the past and are important today in maintaining their identity. Michael’s works of art are his interpretation of these lovely Dreaming stories and he is able to combine modern art materials and techniques with traditional patterns, styles and subject matter.

We read a bit of a story called wildfire and we had to right the ending. This is what i wrote for the ending. The children were running away and a burning stick hit one of them and set them on fire. They quickly fell to the ground and rolled on their side to make the fire stop. The fire was apptoaching them quickly ao they started to run away. Then suddenly out of nowhere an alien space craft appeared. The aliens came out and said “We come in peace,”. The kids got in space craft and saw Shane. They all were happy and the aliens took them home and they all lived happily ever after.

Until what happened the year after…

During the easter holidays I went to the skatepark with Jamie D and he went 3/4 of the way down a big ramp called the flat bank on his first day of going to the skatepark on a skateboard.

Today we went to calendar house and did some stuff to do with the war. We got separated into 2 groups. The group I was in went to look at some things about the war. We saw a piece of a bomb after it had exploded I think it’s called shrapnel.
