Cockenzie Primary School

 Road Safety is an on-going concern in every community. 
We are holding a competition to design a banner for the front of the school.
 
The theme is ACTIVE TRAVEL and the purpose is to promote walking, scooting, cycling etc and the benefits of these eg improved fitness, better health, reduction in fumes from cars etc.

P6/7 have been working with Sandra King, our community development officer, to build a 3D model of our school, its grounds and the surrounding area. P6/7’s Fair Trade afternoon tea was a great success. Over fifty guests enjoyed our homebaking, made with Fair Trade products wherever possible, washed down with Fair Trade tea and coffee. [ March 4, 2010; 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. ] P6/7 are holding a Fair Trade Afternoon Tea next Thursday, March 4th, at 2pm in our school assembly hall for parents/guardians of P6 children.

The afternoon of Tuesday 26th of January saw the culmination of all the preparations for our celebration of ‘The Bard’  Rabbie Burns.
