If you get a masters degree in Management then concentrations in Marketing and Finance, does that mean you essentially have 3 master degrees?
I'm not sure if you mean that your course allows you to take 'electives' in which case you have a single qualification. Better to check with the institution you intend to study at.

How do I find things to do in my gap year?
Luke
If you attend North Berwick or Ross High school arrange to see me and the following are some sites to get you started. Basically, decide what you want to do (travel, work, gain work experience etc.) and then discuss it with your Carees Adviser!
Careers Scotland access a careers database called Exodus
Gap Year
Year Out
Summer Jobs
The above are only a few sites, I have lots more and reference books to help you!

I'm planning to apply for fashion journalism at the London College of Fashion. The website says that I will be required to take a written test at the interview. I have tried to look online for sample tests or some information on the structure of this test but I can't find anything. Can you help me?
Hello.
I tried to resolve this issue before (without success) and can only suggest you contact the admissions tutor direct as they will have the information.

I need to download registration forms now.
Thomas
From the Royal Mail site it states:
Click on Job Search or Search and apply; once you have found a job you wish to apply for you will need to register with the site and apply for the position. (You can only register your details with us once you have found a suitable job).
The link is here

hi,
interested in doing fashion business at uni. says i need 4 highers or 2 advanced highers both at grade c's. It is advised that these be in art and possibly english.

Last year i only did 3 highers and am doing two advanced highers this year- art and english.
Do you think this is ok or do you think I should pick up another higher?

Hopefully wanting to study at Glasgow Caledonian.
Carly
I think you have read the A Level requirements for gcal and as you can see the Scottish requirements are Higher: BBCC
Essential subjects: English and Art & Design
To be on the safe side email E: bafashionbus@gcal.ac.uk giving your S4/5 results and intended S6 subjects and ask for the new tariff.
Mick

hey am doing highers and wanted to get in medical school but i have taken the subject ' information systems ' instead of physics and i dont know whether physics is neccessary for highers to get into medical school can anyone help me ?
Henna
The first place to visit is here and look at all of the courses available in the UK. If it's just Scotland then this page will provide a good starting point. You should also contact admissions tutors for the courses you are intersted in and explain what subjects you intend to take and test out your option choice. If you are in Edinburgh and Lothians have a look at this programme. Arrange to discuss your ideas with your Guidance Teacher and Careers Adviser as soon as possible.

can you tell me what GCSE and A levels I need to undertake a degree in fashion
Emily
The best place to start is here but I would also visit some other sites as well.

This one gives a good overview of creative careers but I would link any research you carry out to a discssion with your art teacher as they can advise on portfolio requirements etc.

You may want to look at college courses in your area (this blog is based in East Lothian, Scotland) so speak to your school careers adviser as well.

I left high school in 2006 at the end of 6th year and went straight from there to Aberdeen University where I am going into my 3rd year of studying music. It was daunting moving to a new city so far away from friends but I quickly adapted and have made so many new and very close friends. I've found that music is a completely different subjet to study than most others as the year group is so small so, although it sounds corney, we're really just one big family. The music course doesn't have that much lecture or tutorial time but it is a full time course as you really have to put in alot of work yourself, most of it practising and alot of research is needed. I admit I wasn't prepared for the amount of practise I should have put in, but I have turned it around and its beginning to look better. University is a humbling experience. Even if you were top of your class, you can't hold onto that title forever so you just need to step up the work effort to keep your standard of work as high as possible.
However, university's not 100% about academic achievments. There are so many groups and societies you can join, and it just makes the experience of uni even better. I can say this because I joined the uni's Gilbert and Sullivan Society in my 1st year and have'nt looked back.
