I am really impressed by the quality of the graphics and the choice of objects and characters you can use!
Today we had some difficulties with the modules freezing as soon as we tried to work on them. This was happening as the groups swapped so maybe it is something to do with switching users -do we need to restart the computer instead? We generally found that we had to use the task manager and then relaunch the programme.
We are keeping a record of all our problems.
It would be helpful to restart the machines between groups. Can you also tell us which laptops you had the problems with? If there is a game which won’t run you could email it to us, or try it on a different laptop. It’s such a pain! I’m determined to track down the problem.
We all managed to get around 35 minutes on the computers today with various degrees of progress!
AA 2 appears to have an problem where if a character dies they can’t revive, the player needs to exit and start all over (2 cases)
AA 1 has had two cases of the conversation writer freezing up requiring a restart.
Craig found that if he tried using an old version of his game it crashed every time he started moving things about.
Thianna found her computer extremely slow to load… but I suspect this could have been because the power pack was not in use.
We tried shutting down completely between groups and found that less people had difficulties getting started.
I found if we had more time it would be better
I think this project is ammazing the labtops have a little fault with them though because they freeze but it is still really cool i have a lot of ideas and i am looking forward to learn more

I agree with what Declan has said: it would be better if everyone could have more time on the laptops to really get stuck in.
We need to work in three groups because there are so many of us, and we need to fit so many other things at the moment that it’s really hard to give everyone the time they need.
All suggestions welcome!
We’ve been hearing great things from Miss Collins about the work you’ve been doing, so well done everybody. I’ll discuss some of the problems you’ve posted about here.
Something to watch out for is to make sure you only have one copy of the toolset running at once. Sometimes people forget that they have just minimised the toolset, and start it again - if you try to open the same module from two different copies of the toolset, that might cause your module freezing problem.
The last time I was in, some people were doing Switch User when they left the computer, instead of Log Off or Restart. It’s possible this would also cause the modules to freeze, as you end up with several users logged on at once!
I agree that Thianna’s slow-loading computer was probably due to the battery pack not being plugged in - this will generally add at least a couple of minutes to the load time of the toolset/game.
When Judy last visited on Thursday she installed a special software fix that we hope should have stopped the conversation writer freezing, but let us know if this happens again, and we’ll try to fix it.
I haven’t seen the problem you describe with characters not being able to revive in AA2 - do you click Respawn and just find that nothing happens?
I think I saw Craig’s computer having problems in an earlier visit, and I’m not sure what was causing it. Are you still having this problem, Craig, or is the new version of your game working OK?
Phew - I feel like an agony aunt! I’ll keep checking this page to hear about any more problems you might be having.
Wow! Thanks for your help!
I am going to miss this project!
