CGT The Final

Tonight’s final was won by the magnificent Simon playing his trumpet.  Simon played Indiana Jones  single-handed on the trumpet whilst swinging a lasso.  He was the unanimous choice of our judges.  Magnificently done Simon.

There were so many amazing acts tonight, as you can see from the photos.  All 600 of us in the audience enjoyed every moment of a fantastic Saturday night’s entertainment.  A special thank you to our 4 judges who gave up so much of their own personal time – and on a Saturday night too!   They had a really hard job and like many of the audience were blown away by Campie’s array of talent.  Tonight was about raising funds for the playground but we forgot all about that in the fun and glory of the show.  Thank you all.

PS One of the parents lost a chunky silver Links of London ring in the ladies toilet. It’s very precious so if anyone saw it, please let us know. Thanks

Well, what can I say?!! I’m still trying to get the glitter out of my eyebrows, but what a night!!
A massive ‘well done’ to everyone who was involved in organising, performing, judging and running this event -it was BRILLIANT! I was supposed to leave early but I just couldn’t tear myself away it was so entertaining and too much fun!
To all the boys and girls that took part- I’m sure you are still buzzing from the excitement and I hope you enjoyed it? You were so brave to get up there infront of so many people and it was obvious that everyone had practised so hard!
Thank you to all the parents involved for putting on such a slick show that gave pupils, parents and staff a fantastic night to remember :)
It does make you proud to be part of Campie!

We said it would be big but it was HUGE!!
Campie has so much talent, you were all fantastic.
Simon you were outstanding, I was amazed when you played with one hand while spinning your rope and then to put the rope through your belt hoop while still playing! Loved the Pink Pather too. I look forward to seeing you when you are on a world tour in years to come!
Remember me when you are rich and famous, I am your neighbour!!!
What a team of helpers we have and we will have raised lots of money for the playground, all by having the best fun ever.
Weather Teachers, wow all fantastic, I wish I could move like Miss Porter!
We also had help from the Brunton Hall staff, especially a man named Len (the caretaker) and Zandra at the Bistro who helped us when the power went off for the hot drinks.
It certainly was a night to remember and I think it must go down in Campies history as the BEST night ever. So glad we have the website to shout about it!!!

What was most amazing about last night was that all the acts were so good – it was a really high standard talent show by anybody’s standards. All the dancing was very different, there were quality musicians, comedy, singing, Highland Dance, the lot. Throw in the extra performances (the teachers and the jazz dancers) and the bizarre nun stuff, and what a great show it was. I think a lot of parents came along expecting something far less big and professional. Huge respect to all the organising team, to Sally for making things run so smoothly on stage and for Ms Laing – better than Ant & Dec for a fraction of the fee. And to all the acts – you were all really, really brilliant. Well done.

Well done to all 31 finalists from “Backstage Karen” – you rocked!! The show was FANTASTIC and you worked so hard, it was a long exciting night for you all, but you behaved like real professionals both on stage and backstage. You should all be really proud. Looking forward to next year already.

What a night! I absolutely loved it!

I just wanted to say, I’ve worked at gigs before where I’ve had to deal with professionals (some famous) on stage. Those gigs were not a patch on last night! All of the acts were so calm and collected and fully supportive of each other, which is so important. You are all a credit to your parents, your teachers, your school and last but not least, yourselves. I am so glad my son attends Campie School with such a cool bunch of kids!

Thank you all for making our night so much fun! I can’t wait till next time!
    Sally

Well done everyone, what an amazing night! Thank you to all the team who made it possible – we should go into business, especially with Sheila as our MC! And thank you to all the performers, helpers and the fabby audience – and of course the judges and the Weather Teachers, Miss Porter you’re even better than Aston from JLS. If anyone needed proof of what a fantastic Campie community we have, last night was it.
And just to let everyone know, we’ve definitely raised enough money for the boat! We’ll put the final toal up when it’s all been counted. Thank you again – and see you next year!
