P3 Review of 2008! January 7, 2009
Posted by kcolver in : P3 , trackbackPrimary three have had a very busy term. We have been lucky enough to get out and about a few times to make the most of active learning. We enjoyed a visit to Musselburgh Library as part of a project started in the infant department. Moira Munro, an author and illustrator, showed us how she invented and drew some of the characters she uses in her stories. We were all delighted to be able to choose a book to keep.
We had lots of fun on our Nature Walk with Mrs. Stark and we loved making our rainbow palettes to show the amazing variety of colours in the natural world. We are looking forward to another walk this term to see how the seasons change the trees, plants and animals we see around us.
Our trip to the pantomime was great fun too. It was good to see the traditional characters - the dame, the baddie and the hero and heroine of the story. Lots of us enjoyed Daft Jamie’s antics and the terrible jokes!
So far we have learned lots of new things and our topic on the Vikings has to be one of the best things we have done. We held an Open Day and invited our families to see what we had learned. We even tested their knowledge of the Vikings and put on a short performance of some Viking songs. It was very busy and our teachers were proud of the confidence and responsibility we displayed.
Now we are looking forward to the new year and some new challenges. We have made some resolutions and written them down. We all hope we can stick to them!
