Anti Bullying Competition Work October 7, 2008

Posted by Miss Collins in : P4, P6, Uncategorized , trackback

Today saw the start of a beautiful friendship between P4b and P6b! Our classes came together to start work on the theme of bullying.

National Anti-Bullying Week 2008 is 17 - 23 November, and the website respectme and the Scottish Government have joined forces to launch an anti-bullying competition, based around the theme, ‘what bullying means to me’.

The children from P4 and P6 have started working on entries for this competition today. Each P4 is working with a P6 partner, and we started by sharing ideas about what forms bullying can take. The poster that the P6s designed last year came in really handy as it gave us the categories of Physical, Verbal, Emotional and Cyberbullying. We also discussed how these types of bullying make a person feel inside. This helped us to brainstorm ideas for what bullying means to us, and then how we can show that in a poster for the competition.
