Ecoschools trip to Fidra

A group of students led by Miss Brown recently went to the island of Fidra to help in the fight to halt the decline in puffin numbers on the island. The invasive plant Tree Mallow in recent years has spread rapidly choking the puffin burrows and preventing the birds from nesting and rearing their pufflings. Our brave volunteers from Broughton braved artic conditions to help clear the mallow. Well done!
