P1/2 thought he was very funny and liked joining in.
We all had a fantastic time making Malawi flags, playing football and taking part in a talent show. Thank you to Monique and Amy for organising this so well. Congratulations to our winners.
Nursery have been celebrating The Chinese New Year, the year of the tiger.
P1/2 looked at a little bit of Kseniya Simonova’s clip on Youtube. We made pictures in sand. Next term we will try changing our pictures as we tell a story just as she did.
P6/7 told us all about weak and aggressive responses in their assembly. They shared their heroes and why they had chosen them.
P1/2 have been learning about fair trade. We discovered our uniforms weren’t fair trade but we think this is because it’s not all cotton. Some of us found the fair trade symbol on our snack. We designed posters to tell everyone about fair trade. Can you make any swaps to fair trade goods?
P3/4/5/ went on a walk to Hopetoun monument. We didn’t quite get there. We had an excellent time. It was great fun because we had lunch in a teepee. Maya liked going up the big high cliff best because you could see a great view from the top.
P1/2 went under a mushroom parachute to hear stories. We can tell the difference between an account and a story.
P1/2 all worked together to harvest our radishes, clean them and of course eat them.
P3/4/5 reminded us all of the four capacities in their exciting assembly.
It was really difficult to choose just three children from each class to recite their poems as they had all put a lot of effort into learning their poems. Well done to everyone.
