  1. Hi Alan,

    hope all’s well!

the gig at the Meadow Bar this week is my new trio featuring Johhny Copland and Tom Gordon from the BBC radio big band - should be fun, there’s more info on the website and even a wee bit of footage on youtube…

    all the best,

    Malcolm

  2. Have you ever come across the Delcamp website? I’ve been visiting it since February and it’s really good. It’s so rigorously moderated I’m sure you could safely recommend it to any pupil, but probably the older (S.) ones would benefit most. Lots of free music (as long as you submit a fairly modest amount of times) and lots of MP3s of the pieces as well. (Jean-Francois Delcamp is a prof of guitar at Ecole National de Musique Brest)

(I can’t remember how I found it but just realised it wasn’t one of yours)

  3. Thanks Luisa,

I signed up for that a while ago but, to be honest forgot about it. Thanks for the prompt - I’ll add a link.

  5. This is an excellent website - maybe you already know it? It is run by a jazz trumpeter and has a very good eartraining tool and [not surprisingly] improvisation training help:  iwasdoingalright.com
